Well made. Set up was a little challenging with directions but we got it done with 2 ppl in a couple hours. Most everything was sockets so we used the drill with the right attachment. Held up in several storms, even snow. We put bricks around the bottom to hold in place, the stakes it comes with will not work on their own. Kept everything warm inside. I used it for. Chicken house not a greenhouse and it kept our firewood dry 🫣
I love my little green house. My veggies have been doing great in there and it's such a cute touch to my backyard
Dear everyone, sorry my review is so late but I really wanted to spend a whole year of growing my Cannabis before I gave my review of the product. And what a beautiful kit it is, the package is a complete set with everything you need to start your growing. The instructions for assembly are very thorough and all the parts are all packaged very securely and professionally. I was able to assemble the canopy and frame all by myself due to my height but another person helping would make things easier. The only change I made was I added a Black Magic hydroponic pail system that fits perfectly, instead of using the grow bags that come in the kit. The two products work beautifully together and look like they were built for one another. The other thing I opted for was the Vivosun circulating fan, which my ladies loved, keeping them healthy and pest free. All this awesomeness comes together with the Vivosun App, allowing you to monitor and adjust settings via your phone through wifi. Thank you Vivosun for such a wonderful gift and completegrowkit.com for carrying the stellar product. And thank you for taking the time to read my review.
My husband and I were able to put this greenhouse up in a little over two hours. It's stayed up through some storms and high winds. So far, it's been pretty sturdy. I have shelving in it now, and there's plenty of room to work. It definitely gets hot! I'm going to overwinter a few plants, so we'll see how good it is when we get our 100 inches of snow! I'll be sure to update. It's a great greenhouse for my needs, easy to install, and a great price.
I really like this cover and was truly happy there was a replacement cover at all after the other cover that my greenhouse came with got torn. Time will tell how it holds up. I will say, i like the white option as well. One thing I will say, however, is the windows DO NOT match the photos on the listing. Nor is this the way the windows were on the original I purchased. They are very low to the ground and i wonder who they thought the windows were for. Like, you cant see out of them because they are at your calves. I hope it works well for air circulation come summer. I will also say though i like the zippers on the windows. Nice touch. Either way, it hopefully does its job and will keep my plants warm and pest free relatively. Its just very interesting how completegrowkit.com literally turned itself into wish before our very eyes.
This is way nicer and better quality than expected. Went together super easy. No experience required at all. I taped all the joints with gaffer tape to try to squeeze as many years as possible out of it. Also used larger rope than supplied to tie down and heavier duty stakes.
This is a great greenhouse for only 669$. The foundation is lapped 2x6x8 ground contact lumber from Lowes, leveled on pavers, and then staked to the ground with AAGUT Ground Rebar Stakes 24 inch (10 pcs). We only needed twelve boards and only had to make four cuts. The wind blew this greenhouse over when we were putting it together, but nothing was seriously damaged. We bought Aluminum Foil Tape but the panels would not fit. So we took the tape off to slide the panels in. This is not the smaller clip in panel version. We bolted the frame to their aluminum foundation part for greater stability, it was only clipped together. Then we bracketed their aluminum foundation to the lumber with Corner Brackets 1.57x1.57x2IN(20 pack). The turnbuckler kit (Size: 100FT Cable & M6 Turnbuckles Kit | Color: 3/16" Cable) is a must. We had the wind blow out a roof panel before we were able to put it on, but it has held since then. This greenhouse needs extra bracing and support poles. We bought two 1" 10-ft metallic emt conduit poles and one 3/4" from Lowes. The 2 thicker poles support the roof attached with barbed fittings and zip ties. The other pole supports the flimsy back wall. We are in Colorado Springs and have very strong winds. I asked the seller for extra braces (part number 22) and they sent me two extra packs, 36 in all for free! We put Chapin Heavy Duty Landscape Fabric under the river rock. The 2 raised garden beds are (Enyu&You 8x2x2FT Galvanized Raised Garden Beds) 90$ each. I ran an extension cord under the back of the greenhouse and a 3 ft Stainless Steel Garden Hose under the front. The greenhouse has very good ventilation with a 50$ Simple Deluxe 20 Inch fan. A mister system is not necessary. Hauling the 6 loads of gravel and 4 loads of compost/manure in a mini van was the hardest part of this build. I followed the video to build this greenhouse. It is much better than the directions. Never done any of this before, all the plants are from seed started in our basement. The first photo is from 6/3/2024 all the other photos are from 7/3/2024. Overall I am very happy with this greenhouse. I have been sleeping in it. It has withstood some strong winds and taping the corners has made this greenhouse less leaky. Most of what is needed for this build can be bought on completegrowkit.com. A greenhouse is a lot of work but well worth it.
I was looking for nursery trays that were big enough to hold dozens of 3 inch planters with cuttings from my jade plant. I also needed trays with no holes so I could easily water all the plants from the bottom. I compared several sizes and brands, but ultimately choose these because the dimensions seemed best for holding the most planters while fitting nicely under my grow lights. These trays arrived quickly and in great condition. They can hold four rows of six 3-inch planters (24 planters per tray). They are made from a thick plastic, which allows the trays to maintain sturdiness even when they are full of plants. These trays are deep enough that my planters remain firmly in place while I'm moving them around. I filled three trays with 72 planters and I still have two more trays left. I'm very happy with these nursery trays and I'll definitely buy these again when I need more.
I took my time and built the 8’x10’ version in my garage over three days then moved it with a neighbor to a previously built platform deck that I constructed over the previous weeks. I wanted a solid foundation that was level for the greenhouse. The platform is anchored down by four two foot rebar and is made of 2x4’s and pressure treated deck lumber. The instructions are primarily small diagrams and several took a leap of faith and trial by error to get the correct orientation. The polycarbonate sides are only 1/8th inch thick so are flimsy and, particularly the larger ones, are difficult to push along the tracks in the aluminum frame. Stiffer polycarbonate would be better in my opinion. There were also a couple steps where once something is assembled you have to go back and disassemble parts to add other support pieces. The additional metal struts and braces I think will make this more sturdy. The gutters are a nice touch and help anchor the polycarbonate roof panels. Most of the aluminum frame has either pre drilled holes for screws or the snap and lock together struts align very well. There were two holes that had metal burrs still inside that needed to be extracted before the screws or bolts would fit ( a minor issue considering how many bolts were needed for overall construction). Most all parts were well labeled except a couple were wrapped together so the labels were not visible until each bundle was separated. The polycarbonate boards are covered by clear wrap on one side and white on the other. There are no clear instructions as to whether these were just to protect the polycarbonate during shipping from scratches or whether the white was, as suspected, for UV protection if the greenhouse was to be placed in full sun. Just one picture in the instructions showed the white side being peeled off “ if applicable”. Since my site will have partial shade I decided to remove all the white and clear wrapping. In reading other greenhouse manufacturer’s reviews I knew ahead of time that some people left these on only to have to try to remove them later after fully constructed. I added L-brackets at each corner to secure the greenhouse to the deck boards using the previously installed bolts that hold the frame base together. Instead of using the angle iron part C-7 to anchor the corners of the frame into the ground I mounted them along the frame base and secured them to the deck boards. I’m at the last step 36 in the instructions and it is unclear from the diagram how to secure the C-6 roof panel supports. There are tiny holes at the ends but no screws and no corresponding pre drilled holes in the frame. I assumed they are mounted on the inside of the greenhouse so as not to obstruct water flow on the outside of the panels during rain. The instructions would favor placing the end tabs between the inside of the frame and PC panels and rotating them into position and relying on pressure to hold them in place. Here again, a little verbiage in the directions instead of pictures without depth would be helpful. One lower panel got partially displaced outward during the move and aside from taking the whole frame apart I’m not sure of the best method to pop it back in place because once assembled, you can’t slide panel pieces into tracks. I worry that in a strong wind the panels may get blown out and I’ll have to replace them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Time will tell! Also, if the plastic corner pieces are difficult to push together a little W-D 40 works wonders. It might also help sliding the larger panels in the frame tracks if the fit is tight.
Put up one night, the next morning all my plants are ruined because this thing is junk. Stems snapped and all. Don’t buy. Seller lied about shipping, too in order to prevent cancelling.
Installation is simple, just follow the instructions, two people can easily install it. The quality is very good, I put it on my deck so that I can use it in winter. I am very excited about the coming of spring. I will continue to update it when I officially use it. I like it very much, the right size, and I am considering buying a large one to put in my yard.
When I first ordered these, I didn't expect too much. I figured, most grow lights on completegrowkit.com majorly exaggerate how much light output there actually is and these won't work for actual plant growth -- but hey, maybe they'll be helpful for freshly transplanted seedlings that need reduced light intensity for a couple days to avoid transplant shock. Well, I was wrong! At the distance from the light to the top of the solo cups underneath it, I measured a PPFD of about 300, which is pretty decent for young seedlings: it'll promote growth without scorching them. It's about the same output I get with a certain popular brand of shop/grow light that most amateur gardeners use for seed starting, but with that brand it takes two lights to get the same output. Not bad! Peak output right underneath the panels measured at a PPFD of 2,052 μmol/m²/s, which is pretty decent. Definitely don't put your plants right up against these! Since they don't come with reflectors, you'll want to use Photone or a light measurement device to make sure your coverage is adequate, and maybe use a couple boards per shelf on your growing setup. This is also a good idea to check for consistency: I noticed the PPFD was 300 toward the edges of the board but closer to 250 right underneath, so the brightness may not be uniform with just one board. I like that the cord has a built in timer which can be set for 4, 8, or 12 hours. I will say though, I wish it had more customization because 14-16 hours is the sweet spot for many seedlings in my experience. But it's not too hard to hit the 4 hour button later in the day. Obviously I can't speak for the longevity of these since I've only had them a short while, but I'll update this if they give out prematurely. I also can't speak to whether these are truly "full spectrum" or not, because I haven't measured the different wavelengths (not sure if Photone does that, but if not, I don't even have the tool for it). I like that they come as flat panels, which makes them perfect for securing to the bottom of a shelf or cupboard, unlike the bulky overhead of using shop lights like many people do. I also like that they come with a set of 3M adhesive strips and also plenty of zip ties, giving you multiple ways to mount them to your setup. You get five light boards total, which isn't bad for the current price (under $50 at the time of review). Overall I'd say these are a great value and perhaps one of the best grow light buys you'll find on completegrowkit.com right now.
I've been having issues with this monstrosity since the day we got it. It came as two separate pieces which makes no sense at all. We had it sitting together waiting for my husband to go get some brackets to have them bolted down and just the tiniest gust of wind blew the top right off and broke the wood on the first day of having it. We got it bolted down and kept the hinged lid tightened with the wing nuts it comes with yet several times the wind opened the lid and broke something. Finally after not even having it 4 months a gust of wind came through and ripped the whole hinged lid off and took it off into the sunset and we cannot find it. This is a piece of junk. It should have latches or something if it is going to be so susceptible to the wind.
We needed replacement covers for our green house frames. They are the correct size just not the same design but that’s fine. The only issue was finding a small ripped seam. I won’t bother returning as they are set up already. Hopefully it won’t go any father.
