Difficult to assemble. Directions are vague. Had to drill pilot holes in order to keep the wood from splitting when putting screw in. Bought two. The first took 2 1/2 hours to assemble. The second took 1 1/2 hours. Reasonable finished product for the money. If I want another, I would check out other options. Neither overly unhappy or happy with this item.

I needed something to be able to start my seedlings and to be able to grow lettuce without the rabbits and chipmunks getting to them. Since I do not have the space for a greenhouse, this seemed like a good alternative for now. This was relatively easy to put together and not heavy to move. They are 2 separate pieces (the raised bed and the cold frame), so you are able to remove the cold frame easily by just lifting it off. Completed it in under an hour…with two people it may have been even quicker. It’s about 3ft x 2.5ft.
The only issues I came across was that 2 screws broke off in the wood as i was installing, you also have to be careful because the wood can split easily while installing the screws, and the very last step in the directions with the joints on the cold frame was a little confusing. Other than that I would repurchase. Fits in well with my other wooden raised beds in my kitchen garden. Only time will tell how it holds up to the outdoor elements.

While the product was a good idea, the wood used is so cheap it won’t hold up to a week’s use, let alone a seasons use, and that’s if you can actually put it together without the wood splitting or breaking.
