   I got this Meonum mycology tent as it offered several features my previous tent did not, along with much more room overall. Assembly was very easy, instructions were easy to follow, and no tools were required. Simply push the frame segments into the connectors as shown, slip the cover over the frame, hang the included LED light, and zip the cover closed. Poles which had multiple segments were joined (along with the appropriate connectors) with elastic cord, making assembly even easier. The cover is heavy gauge and crystal clear, with a black base, and two access ports with drawstring closures to allow access into the enclosure while reducing the risk of contamination. There are also two small ports in the back which allow inserting electrical cords or air tubing into the tent while keeping it sealed from outside air. The LED light is more than adequate for mushroom cultivation, as they require minimal light, however, after turning it on, I realized the light color was definitely in the blue spectrum, which has been shown to offer the most benefit to mushrooms, and provide the best results. This kit has obviously been well thought out in regards to it’s intended use, and I’m excited to put it to use. Nice product.

   I haven’t started growing mushrooms yet, so I can’t attest to how that is going to go, but once I put this together I believe it’s going to work out well. My two previous attempts at growing mushrooms with cheap beginner kits both failed so I wanted to try something larger with a better controlled environment. I am hoping that my third try will be the charm with this tent!
   This kit was a bit tricky to put together. I found the pieces kept coming apart on me as I was building up after I finished the base. After some frustration I finally decided to double check all the connections with the instructions and just glue them as I went along. I knew this might be risky if I accidentally missed a step but it ended up being a wise decision. It took more time but I was pleased with the end result. The frame ended up being very sturdy due to the glued connections. This allowed me to easily stretch on the outer material without worrying that everything would fall apart. Once completed and after installing the LED light, it looks and feels like a professional growing tent. Right now it’s just sitting on my buffet cabinet where I can admire it until I get the time to educate myself a bit more on growing practices and start my (hopefully) first successful mushroom garden.
